I have been using double edge disposable razors for years, but needed something as a backup when I’m on the road, need a quick shave and don’t have access to my disposables.
So, I a bought the Remington R-950 to replace another old electric that died, expecting more than what it has delivered so far. It takes too many passes over the beard to knock it down to where it looks halfway decent and it seems to lack any significant power as well. The trimmer has little effect at all on my sideburns.
Additionally, the plastic construction of the unit makes me wonder if it will last long enough to get a decent return my investment.
Had I known these facts beforehand I would have shelled out more bucks for something more reliable.
But, for my intended infrequent use of it, I guess it will do.
