I have an electric shaver, but it’s not good for a close shave. I keep it around in case of an “emergency.”
If I haven’t shaved in days, and I realize that I’m out where my legs are showing, then I can use the electric shaver. Even if it doesn’t give the closest shave, it does improve the situation.
Mostly I have used it while I’m out, and I’ve already shaven, but I realize that I missed a spot. I really appreciate it then. lol Mine is small enough to carry in my purse, or put in the glove compartment, so that’s why I can do that.
That said, I have to admit that I haven’t really used it that much… and here I thought I would get tons of use out of it. I haven’t had to replace the head, though, probably because I haven’t had to use it that much. It hasn’t costed me any extra money beyond the original purchase. I wouldn’t really compare it to the cost of buying the razors you use in the showers, though. I use them for two totally different reasons: one is for a close-shave and the other is for… errr, I guess I’ll call it “emergency touch up.” ;)

Electric Shavers are a good idea for a man and the sensitive skin on the face, but I can never get a close shave on my legs with anything but a straight edge.

I honestly think that they don’t work as well. Not sure about the head cuz I never used it long enough to find out.
