Ok, to start with I’m not a fan of Remington. So, I was kind of biased to start. But they pleasantly surprised me with this shaver for $30 (that’s what I paid for it), decent shave (not the closest, but ok). But the main thing was that I haven’t felt a thing while shaving (and I have sensitive skin) DRY!!! That’s right. So, one star for being compact, and two stars for the smooth shave it gave me. I don’t mind little stubble every morning, but I HATE when one of these rips my face to pieces.

P.S. Little summary below, and for all of yous with sensitive skin who hate shaving, this little bugger is a steal. (ppl w/sensitive skin READ 4 stars)

    Pros:

    - fits nicely in my hand (not TOO small or awkward)

    - smooth (literally didn’t feel a thing while shaving)

    Cons:

    - 16 hr charge (stone age, eh?)

    - not washable and not water-resistant(need to re-e-e-ealy spend time cleaning it – 2 mins shaving + 6 mins cleaning)

Almost as good as a Norelco 3-head shaver. It takes a bit longer to finish shaving since you only have 2/3 the shaving area, but the shave is darned close to a Norelco. I prefer a rechargeable to those models which use 2 AA batteries – who would remember to pack batteries? According to the instructions, the shaver will not run on electric power if the batteries are depleted (unlike the home version of Norelcos). It is much smaller than a 3-head home shaver and fits comfortably in the hand.

The instructions didn’t include an order form for replacement heads, though if it’s used only for travel the set that was included should last for years. More troubling is that the instructions say that the batteries can NOT be replaced, and reminded the user to safely dispose of the item at the end of its useful life. Mind you, this caution was not in the fine print but in the body of the instruction manual – which makes me wonder how short a lifespan this shaver has!

I purchased this shaver after reading another review that said it was wonderfully non-irritating. I’m afraid I had the opposite experience. It was highly irritating to my skin. I have been unable to use any rotary razor for this reason and this one followed the pattern. If you also have trouble with rotaries, don’t plan on this one being different.

Works well for its size. Takes a bit longer than the 3-head rotary razors, but nice and compact for travel. Stays charged for a couple of weeks when used daily, but of course YMMV.
