Necessary Luxuries Electric Pre-Shave Lotion NL-PS1

When i shave with a blade, after a day i invariably get razor burn/bumps across the jawline on either side of my face. The area is sensitive and itchy. On the flip side, when i let my beard grow for about 1 week (which amounts to a short scruffy mess not unlike Keanu Reeves) the trouble areas begin to itch. The longer i let it grow the itchier it gets forcing me to shave.

I’ve discovered using my electric hair cutters (with the adjustable head) to shave my face works well. The remaining beard has been trimmed but an even level of stubble remains. After a shave i feel no irittation until 1 week of growth returns.

My question: is it possible to have a cleaner/closer shave without the risk of razor burn/bump for my skin /hair type? If not Im even open to the same old stubble look (adjustable height head) as long as their is a rotary(?) unit that can give me a faster shave.

Can you recommend a lotion or shaving device that can help me out.
