The blades on shaving razors, whether it be disposable or reusable, dull after just a few shaves. I can’t figure out what it is about skin or hair that can make such sharp metal dull so quickly.

Be scientific please. Also, is there anything that can be done to keep them from becoming dull?

well, the razors are usually very thin & so they dull faster than a thick hard metal
